Musiala then joined the match and immediately made an impact. He scored his first goal by curling a shot from outside the box. Shortly afterward, he was fouled and scored from the penalty spot. Musiala completed his hat-trick by intercepting a bad pass and calmly scoring past Auckland’s goalkeeper.
With only a minute left, Muller scored the 10th and final goal, setting a new record for the biggest win ever in the Club World Cup!
Even though Auckland City has been very successful in Oceania, winning multiple trophies, this match showed just how strong Europe’s top teams can be.
Next up, Auckland will face tough opponents like Benfica and Boca Juniors and will hope to bounce back from this big defeat.
