Recent news shows that Napoli is really interested in Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez. They have moved from just talking on the phone to having serious and direct discussions. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano mentioned that Napoli, with manager Antonio Conte, sees Nunez as a key player to strengthen their attack for the 2025-26 season, and they are already talking to the player’s agents. Liverpool has set a price of about €60 million (£51 million/$69 million) for the 25-year-old Uruguayan, which is a big loss compared to the £85 million they paid Benfica for him in 2022.
🚨🔵 Discussions between Napoli and Darwin Nunez continue as he’s high on the shortlist.
Talks ongoing with player’s camp scheduled also this week.

Napoli is not the only team interested; AC Milan also wants Nunez but might have a harder time since they can’t offer Champions League football like Napoli can. Plus, teams from Saudi Arabia (Al-Hilal) and Spain (Atletico Madrid) are interested too, but Nunez seems to want to stay in Europe. Even though he didn’t start many games under Liverpool manager Arne Slot last season (only 17, and none in the last 11 games), some people, like former Liverpool striker Stan Collymore, think Nunez could still do well at Liverpool with new players like Florian Wirtz. However, most reports say that Nunez is likely to leave Anfield this summer, with Napoli currently in the lead.
There’s no final deal yet, and the talks will depend on whether Napoli can meet Liverpool’s asking price and if Nunez is open to the move, which reports say he is thinking about.
