Norwich City Signs Danish Striker Mathias Kvistgaarden from Brondby

Norwich City just made a big move by signing Danish striker Mathias Kvistgaarden from Brondby! He signed a four-year contract, and there’s even an option for an extra year. The deal is said to be worth about £6.9 million.

Mathias Kvistgaarden

Kvistgaarden had an amazing season with Brondby, scoring 23 goals in 38 games. He also made his first appearance for Denmark’s national team last month against Northern Ireland.

He’s excited to join Norwich and can’t wait to play with his old teammates Anis Ben Slimane and Oscar Schwartau again. Before coming to Norwich, other teams like Celtic, West Ham, and Eintracht Frankfurt were also interested in signing him, but Kvistgaarden chose the Canaries.

Talking about his new club, Kvistgaarden said, “I hope I can bring lots of energy, just like I did at Brondby. I want to always have a big smile on my face and help the team. I’ve talked to Oscar and Anis, and they only had good things to say about Norwich. When Norwich showed interest in me, I felt like it was the right place.”

He also shared his big goal: “It’s no secret, I want to help Norwich get promoted to the Premier League. That’s my goal, and it’s the club’s goal too.”

Norwich’s sporting director, Ben Knapper, said, “We’re so happy to have Mathias and his family join us. There were a lot of teams that wanted him, but he chose Norwich. That shows how much he believes in our club and our plans for the future.”

Fans can’t wait to see Kvistgaarden play and hope he’ll help Norwich have an awesome season!
