Arsenal vs Atl. Madrid
Arsenal
Arsenal relies on a controlled and structured game through the midfield, where Martin Odegaard is the main organizer and playmaker. On the wings, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli bring speed and width, making them very dangerous in 1v1 situations, especially when there is space.
In the first match, Arsenal didn’t dominate the game, but they were disciplined and efficient. They managed to take the lead with a penalty scored by Viktor Gyokeres, and then they defended well during phases of the game. Even though they had fewer chances and a lower xG, they showed maturity and knew how to get a positive result from a tough pitch.
Defensively, they look organized, but when they play with a high press, they leave space behind the defense, which can be risky against a team like Atletico that plays on transitions.
Atl. Madrid
Atletico Madrid plays directly and practically, focusing on quick attacks and using space effectively. Antoine Griezmann is a key player who connects the lines, creates chances, and participates in finishing.
In the first match, Atletico was the better team according to all key stats, with more shots, a higher xG, and more chances created. However, they couldn’t fully capitalize on that. The equalizer came from a penalty by Julian Alvarez, who was one of the more active players in the attack.
Despite controlling certain phases, finishing was a problem. Atletico created chances but wasn’t efficient enough, leaving them with only a 1:1 score before the second leg. They are defensively disciplined, but not as closed off as before, which means they leave space for the opponent.
In the first match, we expected a tight game with 0-2 goals, which was confirmed by the 1:1 result. However, the game itself showed that there was potential for more goals, especially considering Atletico’s chances and Arsenal’s efficiency.
In the second leg, a more open and efficient match is expected, where both teams will have their moments and play more offensively.

Bayern Munich vs PSG
Bayern Munich
Bayern Munich has a really strong and balanced attack, led by Harry Kane, who is always a threat in the box and a great scorer. Jamal Musiala brings creativity and the ability to break through defenses, while Michael Olise adds speed, skill, and directness on the wings. Their attack is diverse, combining positional play with quick vertical attacks, making them dangerous at any moment.
In the first match, Bayern created more chances and had a significantly higher xG of 3.06, showing that they were functioning well offensively. The scorers were Kane with 2 goals, one from a penalty, along with Olise and Upamecano.
However, the main issue was the defense, the high line and aggressive approach left a lot of space behind the defense, which PSG punished with quick counterattacks and individual skill.
PSG
PSG relies on individual skill, speed, and wing play, where Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Ousmane Dembele are the main creators and the most dangerous in 1v1 situations. With their explosiveness and directness, they constantly attack the defense and create space. Doue and Barcola add extra dynamics, as they are very active off the ball and often move into open spaces, making PSG’s attack unpredictable and fluid.
In the first match, PSG displayed tremendous offensive power and efficiency. Even though they had a lower xG of 1.90, they made the most of their chances. Kvaratskhelia scored 2 goals, Dembele also netted 2 goals, one of which was a penalty, and Nuno Mendes got on the scoresheet, with the attack functioning almost perfectly.
However, defensively they left a lot of space, especially during transitions, where Bayern easily created chances and managed to score 4 goals.
The first match was a show with 9 goals, where both teams displayed a lot of offensive power but also had some serious defensive weaknesses. Bayern created more chances, while PSG was more efficient, a combination that promises another open game.
Considering the score and the playing style of both teams, the second leg is expected to have a fast pace again, with many transitions and chances for both sides. It’s hard to imagine a closed match in this context, and I give the home team the edge to win.
