LEAGUE

KuPS : RFS

KuPS are doing really well, having won their last three games in all competitions, including a 2-0 victory in the Veikkausliiga against KTP. They’ve scored a total of seven goals in those matches and haven’t lost in four games, currently sitting six points behind Inter Turku in the league. In Europe, after being eliminated from the UCL by Kairat Almaty, they’ve bounced back with a 2-1 win in the first leg.

RFS bounced back from their first-leg loss with a strong 4-1 win in the Virsliga against Super Nova, but they’ve lost three European games in a row, including UCL qualifiers against Malmo. They are currently second in the Latvian league, just three points behind Riga FC, and have won seven domestic matches in a row. However, their away performance has been inconsistent, and they’ve let in goals in their last five European matches.

With KuPS’s strong home performance, their lead from the first leg, and their attacking skills, they should be able to win against an RFS team that needs to catch up but has some defensive weaknesses. We expect at least 3 goals during the match.

Europe: Europa League

Breidablik : Zrinjski

Breidablik has been having a tough time lately, going six games without a win in all competitions. Their high-pressing and direct style creates a lot of chances, but they often miss the target and struggle during transitions, letting in goals in all six of their recent matches. In the first game, they managed to take the lead in the first half, but they couldn’t hold onto it until the end of the match.

Zrinjski, the team from Bosnia, has a bit better recent performance with 2 wins, 2 draws, and 1 loss in their last 5 games. However, they have had a hard time playing away in Europe, suffering a 4-0 defeat against Slovan Bratislava. Zrinjski plays a disciplined counter-attacking style, which helps them handle pressure and attack when the moment is right.

In the first match, we saw one goal from each team, and since Breidablik is playing at home, we expect them to come out attacking in this game, leading to a similar scenario today.

Europe: Europa League

Shakhtar Donetsk : Panathinaikos

Shakhtar Donetsk is doing really well, staying unbeaten in their last 5 games in all competitions. They have only lost once in their last 18 matches. They were really strong in the earlier rounds of the Europa League, beating Ilves 6-0 and Besiktas 6-2 overall. On defense, they’ve only let in about 0.8 goals each game.

On the other hand, Panathinaikos is having a tough time, with just one win in their last 6 matches, including a 3-1 loss to Rangers in the Champions League qualifiers. Their offense has been weak, scoring only 1 goal in their last 3 games. Because they aren’t scoring much and have been poor away from home, they are seen as the underdogs. Also, the possible absence of key player Fotis Ioannidis, who might be leaving the team, makes their attack even weaker.

Shakhtar Donetsk is in amazing form, they played great in Athens, so we expect them to win in Krakow.

Europe: Europa League

Legia : AEK Larnaca

Legia Warsaw has been performing well, with just one loss in their last 12 matches across all competitions, including a 3-1 victory against GKS Katowice in the Ekstraklasa. They moved past Aktobe and Ostrava in earlier rounds but were overwhelmed in the first leg by AEK, giving up three goals after halftime and losing Bartosz Kapustka to a red card.

AEK Larnaca remains unbeaten in their last 9 matches across all competitions, scoring 10 goals in 5 European matches, including a 4-1 win over Legia in the first leg. They have been very effective at home, defeating Partizan Belgrade in penalties and Celje in previous rounds. AEK’s organized 4-3-3 formation boasts an 88% pass accuracy. Marcus Rohdén is uncertain to play, but their counter-attacking strategy could take advantage of Legia’s need to push forward.

Legia will make a strong effort at home, using their control of possession and high number of shots to create opportunities. We expect them to win the match, but will it be enough to advance further?

Europe: Conference League

Beitar Jerusalem : Riga FC

Beitar Jerusalem had 5 consecutive wins in all competitions, including a strong start in qualifiers with victories over Sutjeska, but they were caught off guard in the first leg loss. They scored 7 goals in 3 Conference League games, but let in 6, showing some defensive problems.

Riga FC is doing really well, remaining unbeaten in Europe this season after getting rid of Dila Gori. They scored 8 goals in 3 Conference League matches, averaging 2.67 goals per match, while allowing 4 goals. Their away form is strong, and they haven’t lost in 14 matches across all competitions.

The neutral venue takes away any home advantage, and Beitar eagerness to score could make them vulnerable to counterattacks. We expect an exciting match with at least 3 goals.

Europe: Conference League

Jagiellonia : Silkeborg

Jagiellonia is doing really well, winning 2 out of their last 3 league games. In total, they have scored 14 goals in 6 matches across all competitions, but they have also let in 10 goals. On the defensive side, they have managed to keep clean sheets in their recent victories, although they have conceded goals in 8 out of their last 10 games overall. They had a one-goal advantage in their away game, so we expected to see them in the next stage of this competition.

On the other hand, Silkeborg IF is having a tough time, starting their domestic season poorly with just 1 win and 3 losses in the Superliga. In Europe, they have scored 4 goals in 3 qualifying matches, but they have also conceded a similar number of goals. Injuries are a big worry for them, as they are one of the main reasons for their poor performance.

We think Jagiellonia will control the ball and take advantage of counterattacks, while Silkeborg will try to push forward but will have a hard time defending.

1 (Jagiellonia to Win)

Austria Vienna : Ostrava

Austria Vienna has had a mix of results lately, showing strong performances at home in Europe but also revealing some weaknesses in the first leg and suffering a recent 2-0 loss to Wolfsberger AC. Defensively, they have let in 11 goals in their last 5 matches, with no clean sheets in 4 of those games. They are down by one goal and will try to make up for it in today’s match.

On the other hand, Ostrava, the visitors, are not doing well, with only one win in their last 6 matches across all competitions. In the league, they have played 3 matches without a win, recording 2 losses and a draw. They’ve scored 9 goals in 6 games but have also conceded 11, showing struggles in defense.

In the first match, we saw a total of 7 goals, and today we expect at least one goal from each team.

Shamrock Rovers : FC Ballkani

Shamrock Rovers have demonstrated their strength in Europe by moving past St Josephs with a 4-0 aggregate score. However, their recent performance has been a bit inconsistent with just one win in their last four matches, which includes a 0-1 loss in the first leg and a 0-0 draw at home against Galway United.

On the other hand, FC Ballkani is doing really well with two wins and one draw, remaining unbeaten in Europe this season after knocking out Floriana FC with a 2-1 aggregate score. They have scored six goals in three European games while allowing three goals, playing a smart counter-attacking style. They managed to secure a one-goal lead in the first match and will try to maintain that advantage.

Given Shamrock Rovers’ strong home performance and their attacking approach, they should be able to turn the situation around. We anticipate a low-scoring victory for the home team.

1 (Shamrock Rovers to Win)
