According to Florian Plettenberg from Sky Germany, Bayer Leverkusen thinks Tillman is a really exciting player. They want to use a special release clause in his contract to buy him. But some reports say this release clause will only be active in the summer of 2026 and could cost around €30-40 million.
Bayer Leverkusen needs a new player because they just sold Florian Wirtz, who left for Liverpool for a record-breaking transfer fee.
Tillman started his career in Bayern Munich’s youth academy. In 2023, he went on loan to PSV and then moved there permanently in 2024 for €12 million.
At PSV, Tillman did really well. In his first season, he helped with 19 goals and assists. Last season, he missed some games because of an injury but still scored 12 league goals and helped PSV win the title again. So far, he has scored 25 goals and made 16 assists in 73 games.
Tillman’s contract with PSV lasts until 2028.
