David Jurasek, a 24-year-old left-back from the Czech Republic, has officially moved to Beşiktaş on loan from Benfica, with an option to buy for the 2025-26 season. Beşiktaş announced the transfer on June 29, 2025, saying they reached an agreement with Benfica for Jurásek’s temporary move. He arrived in Istanbul on June 28, 2025, to undergo medical checks and finalize the deal.

Jurásek had a health check at Acıbadem Altunizade Hospital and took part in his first training session with Beşiktaş on June 30, 2025.
Before joining Benfica in 2023 for €14 million, Jurásek played for Slavia Prague. He didn’t get much playing time at Benfica and spent the second half of the 2024-25 season on loan at Hoffenheim, where he played 22 games and made three assists. Beşiktaş was excited about signing him and wished him success with the team. The Czech international has also caught the attention of clubs in Greece, Italy, and Germany, but he chose Beşiktaş, where he is expected to help strengthen their defense.
In an interview with Beşiktaş’s YouTube channel, Jurásek shared his excitement about joining the club, mentioning its great history and how he quickly decided to accept their offer. He also talked about knowing former Benfica teammates Rafa Silva, João Mário, and Gedson Fernandes, who are now at Beşiktaş, and expressed that he is ready for the tough competition in the Turkish Süper Lig. Jurásek is now Beşiktaş’s 188th foreign signing and the fourth Czech player in the club’s history.
