Paul Pogba now offered to Monaco as former Manchester United star could make Champions League return.
Former Manchester United star Paul Pogba is searching for a new club as the midfielder attempts to return to football.
Pogba has been training by himself since April as a free agent, working hard to get back in shape before he joins a new team this summer.
He has been rumored to be moving to the MLS or the Saudi Pro League, and Ligue 1’s big team Marseille is also a possibility for the 32-year-old, where he might get to play again with his old Manchester United teammate Mason Greenwood.
On the one hand, Pogba won the World Cup with France and was one of the finest box-to-box midfielders we have ever seen through stretches of his career.
On the other, Pogba couldn’t find consistency and departed United under something of a cloud as he returned to Juventus in 2022.
Pogba was then hit with a doping ban, but his initial four-year suspension was eventually reduced to 18 months.
Now able to play again, Pogba has played down the suggestion of rejoining United but is looking for a new club this summer.
Monaco offered chance to sign Paul Pogba
A return to the Premier League would be a surprise, but Pogba may be eyeing France’s top flight as his next stop.
Outside of his time in the Le Havre ranks and his appearances for France, Pogba has yet to sample French football.
Monaco finished third in Ligue 1 last season and will be in Europe’s top competition next term.
It’s claimed that Pogba is unlikely to join Marseille, but his representatives have offered him up to Monaco.
