Thomas Partey has officially left Arsenal as a free agent after his contract ended on June 30, 2025.
Multiple sources, like transfer expert Fabrizio Romano and journalist David Ornstein, say that talks for a new contract didn’t work out, which means he’s finished his five-year time with the club.
Partey, who came to Arsenal from Atlético Madrid in 2020 for €50 million, played 167 games and was an important player in Mikel Arteta’s team, especially during the 2024-25 season when he made 52 appearances.
But since they couldn’t agree on a new deal, Arsenal is looking to strengthen their midfield by signing players like Christian Norgaard from Brentford and Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad. As for a possible move to Beşiktaş, where David Jurásek just joined on loan, there’s no confirmed interest from Beşiktaş in signing Partey.
Thomas Partey has been connected to other clubs too, like Fenerbahçe, where José Mourinho is said to want to sign him, as well as Juventus, clubs in the Saudi Pro League, and other teams in Europe. There’s no direct link between Partey leaving and Marco Asensio’s transfer situation, since Asensio is linked with Fenerbahçe but not Beşiktaş.
If you want to know if Partey might go to Beşiktaş or how his leaving connects to other transfers, there are no solid reports confirming a move to Beşiktaş right now.
