Chelsea’s soccer team has touched down in the U.S.! They landed in Philadelphia late at night, around 8:30 PM local time, to get ready for the big FIFA Club World Cup tournament that kicks off this Saturday.
The team is staying at their training base at the Union Training Facility in Chester, Pennsylvania, where they’ll be practicing and preparing for their upcoming matches.
Chelsea is part of Group D in this year’s new-look tournament. They’ll be playing against Flamengo from Brazil, Esperance Tunis from Tunisia, and the American team Los Angeles FC (LAFC). LAFC just recently won a spot in the competition by beating Club América in a play-off match.

Originally, a Mexican team called Club León was supposed to take part. But they were removed by FIFA because the same group of owners also has shares in another team in the tournament, which breaks the rules. That group also owns CF Pachuca, another Mexican club.
CF Pachuca, by the way, has a tough road ahead in Group H. They’ll be playing against top teams like Real Madrid, RB Salzburg, and Al Hilal.
Chelsea’s first game is set for June 16th at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, where they’ll go head-to-head with LAFC.
Meanwhile, soccer legend David Beckham was seen checking in on his team, Inter Miami, as things heat up for the Club World Cup.
